Coffee & Tea Care
Freshness
Our coffees and teas are carefully prepared and packaged to help preserve freshness and flavor. For the best experience, store unopened products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
Once opened, reseal the package tightly and enjoy within 4–6 weeks for optimal freshness.
Do not refrigerate or freeze coffee unless it will remain unopened for an extended period.
Brewing Recommendations
Every coffee is crafted to be enjoyed according to your personal taste. We recommend beginning with approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water and adjusting to your preferred strength.
Use fresh, filtered water whenever possible for the best flavor.
Flavored Coffees
Our flavored coffees are crafted using premium coffee and quality flavoring ingredients designed to complement the coffee's natural character.
Flavor intensity may vary slightly between batches, brewing methods, and individual taste preferences.
Mushroom Coffee
Our mushroom coffee blends contain functional mushroom ingredients such as Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga, or Turkey Tail, depending on the specific product.
These products are intended as specialty coffee beverages and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, have a medical condition, or are under the care of a healthcare professional, consult your physician before consuming mushroom coffee or herbal products.
Decaffeinated Coffee
Our decaffeinated coffees are processed using the Swiss Water Process, a premium chemical-free decaffeination method that preserves the coffee's natural flavor and aroma while removing nearly all caffeine.
Although significantly reduced, decaffeinated coffee may still contain trace amounts of caffeine.
Allergens
Some flavored coffees and teas may contain natural or artificial flavoring components derived from common allergens such as tree nuts, dairy-inspired flavors, or spices.
Products are prepared in facilities that may also process allergens including:
- Tree nuts
- Milk
- Soy
- Wheat
- Peanuts
Customers with food allergies or sensitivities should review product information carefully and consult their healthcare provider if needed.
Product Variations
Coffee is an agricultural product. Natural variations in color, aroma, tasting notes, and appearance may occur between harvests and roasting batches.
These differences are normal and reflect the unique character of each coffee.
Merchandise Care
To help preserve the quality of your Brewed Bayou merchandise, please follow the care instructions provided with each product.
General recommendations include:
- Machine wash cold with like colors
- Turn garments inside out before washing
- Use mild detergent
- Tumble dry low or hang dry when possible
- Do not bleach
- Do not iron directly over printed designs
- Avoid dry cleaning unless specifically recommended
